Abstract: As a high accident area of shipwreck from ancient times, marine environmental conditions in Pintan shipwreck area attract more and more attention under high-strength exploitation of cultural relics. Based on the survey results of environmental factors and mathematical analysis, environmental corrosivities of seawater and sediments for iron artifact are comprehensively evaluated around a shipwreck area in Pingtan sea in this study. The evaluation results show that the seawater corrosivity of Pingtan is moderately weak and the corrosive quality of sediments is at a medium level, which provide an important information for the exploitation and protection of shipwreck iron artifact in Pingtan sea area.
