Abstract: We designed and developed the Ningbo marine thematic supporting integrated information service platform (MTS-IISP) based on technologies including geographic information system (GIS) and network database. MTS-IISP assists in port tidal refined forecasting, maritime searching and rescuing, oil and other chemical product spill emergency decision and marine environment forecasting. This platform provides an accurate, intuitive and flexible marine supporting product for marine and fishery departments in Ningbo. It will also provide a better serve for the economy development of Ningbo and improve emergency coping capacity of local government.
