Abstract:
Used remote sensing data in multiple periods of 8 a intervals, tdal inlet shoreline's information of spatiallocation, length and tortuosity of Xiangshan Harbor in period of 1974 to 2014 were extracted. At the same time, thehuman activity intensity is quantified and evaluated and the relations between the changes of human activities andthe shoreline are discussed. The results shows that:(1)In the past 40 a,with increasing intensities of human ac-tivities,the length of shoreline in Xiangshan Harbor was shrinking, while the length of its artificial shoreline in-creased and stabilized;(2)Under the influence of different human activities, part of shore morphologiesin Xiangs-han Harbor have experienced dramatically changes, which decreased the shoreline sinuosity;(3)The intensity ofhuman activity increased rapidly from 1974 to 1998,the rate of increase had slowed down after1998,at the sametime, concentrated area of human activities gradually intensified and covered almost entire shoreline;(4)The in-tensity ofhuman activity decreased with the length and sinuosity of the overall shoreline, which showed a significantnegative correlation due to intensified human activities.
